Chapter 9: Yang Shu Mei Ying (YSMY)

“Cold…… So cold……. It hurts…….” Jun Shuying was lying on the bed. His forehead was filled with sweat and he was delirious.

Gao Fang anxiously watched over him on the side. He had already taken Jun Shuying’s pulse. It was the pulse of someone who was suffering gu poison. He had once stayed in Miao territory. Although he learned a bit about gu and how to treat it, he didn’t know what kind of gu it was, so he didn’t dare to rashly make a move.

[TL Note: Gu poison is a venom-based poison, where several poisonous creatures are sealed inside one container. They devour each other until one is remaining.]

Gao Fang thought that Qing Lang didn’t want to kill Jun Shuying. It was as easy as him flipping his palm over to kill Jun Shuying then. There no was no need to expend this sort of effort. But he was worried because he couldn’t figure out what this gu was.

“Sect Master, where does it hurt?” Gao Fang looked at Jun Shuying in heavy pain and temporarily put aside his thoughts. He could only use acupuncture to alleviate his pain first.

Jun Shuying barely maintained some clarity. His hands clutched his abdomen. The cold pain made him weaker. Eight words out of ten were air. “Here…… It’s like thousands of needles poking me……”

Gao Fang picked up a silver needle and carefully started to insert it in Jun Shuying’s Guguan, Shenque, Guanyuan, Zusanli, and Gongsun acupuncture points. He didn’t expect that as he started doing it, Jun Shuying shouted as if he couldn’t bear it. He started rolling around.

Gao Fang hurriedly put the needle down. Jun Shuying was lying exhausted and panting on the bed. Big beads of sweat dripped down his nose. He was slowly starting to lose consciousness again. He mumbled about being cold and in pain and shrunk his body.

Gao Fang felt Jun Shuying’s skin. The high temperature was startling.

“Cold……” Jun Shuying cringed away from his hand.

“Oh yes, the hot spring!” Gao Fang suddenly thought that behind Canglang Mountain was a geothermal. The previous Sect Master wanted to enjoy life, so he had people dug a lake and removed the water to make a man-made hot spring. When Jun Shuying successfully overthrown the previous Sect Master and burned his place, he fortunately did not remember about the hot spring. That’s why it still existed.

Gao Fang avoided everyone and stealthily brought Jun Shuying to the cave where the hot spring was.

The previous Sect Master really liked this place, so he didn’t let others find out about it like he was concealing treasures. Thus, not many people knew about this place. Only Gao Fang, Jun Shuying, and Qing Lang knew about it.

The cave was very spacious. The ceiling was high. A big lake was in the center of the cave. Wisps of steaming air came from the clear water. The gurgling sounds of the water echoed pleasantly in the cave. The whole cave glowed from the sparkling reflection of the water. It was very beautiful and pure.

The warm water eased Jun Shuying’s pain and he gradually restored consciousness.

Although his face was haggard and pale as a ghost, his eyes glistened with a resentful and sinister light.

“Chu Feiyang, Qing Lang, you’ve harmed me to this state. I will never let you off!” Jun Shuying’s palm slammed into the water. The sound reverberated in the cave and lingered for a long time.

Gao Fang softly appeased, “As long as the green hills last, there will be wood to burn. Sect Master, you recuperate while I find out what’s in your body as soon as possible. It’s no good to over-think now.”

Jun Shuying took a deep breath and lightly nodded his head. “Don’t tell anyone that I’m here.”

“I’m not that stupid.” Gao Fang smiled. His heart was somewhat sour. Although Jun Shuying was now the Sect Master, no one was sincerely convinced by him. They were afraid of his high martial arts and vicious methods, which is why they respectfully obeyed his commands. If they knew that Jun Shuying was in this powerless situation, Gao Fang had no doubt that they would rush to tear Jun Shuying into pieces.

Jun Shuying had his body submerged in the warm water and could slowly feel his internal strength returning. He didn’t expect that this place used for sexual pleasures actually had such a function. He told Gao Fang to go back and deal with matters in the sect. Gao Fang was afraid that if they both disappeared for too long, it would draw suspicion. Also, with Jun Shuying in this state, he could probably cope with ordinary martial artists. Thus, Gao Fang obeyed and left.

Gao Fang disappeared with sweet bell sounds ringing. Jun Shuying sunk in the warm water and closed his eyes. There was still some agitation and soreness in his abdomen, but it was nothing like the previous excruciating pain.

Gao Fang returned to the sect and encountered a very tricky situation.

Chu Feiyang had sent another letter of challenge. The time was set for tonight.

Gao Fang secretly laughed at how pedantic Central Plain’s daxias were. But he really wanted to thank him for giving him enough time to prepare for the fight. Gao Fang did not know martial arts and knew that his poisons and poisonous insects wouldn’t have much effect on Chu Feiyang. However, Chu Feiyang’s inflexible personality gave him an opportunity to win.

When Gao Fang was in Miao region, a woman once gave him a gu. When he found out the effect of that gu, his face must have been spectacular to look at. But he didn’t dare to refuse that sinister old woman’s kindness.

Those who suffered that gu would lose their mobility in the short-term and be at another’s disposal. It was used when Miao females couldn’t obtain the love of the men they love. Naturally, they couldn’t say the purpose of the gu out loud.

Gao Fang thought that he would never use this gu in his life, but now, he needed it more than anyone. He needed time. With that little bit of time, he could stab a knife into Chu Daxia’s heart.
